Finally here! Our girl’s birth story :)
Due on Sept 2, our little girl Mya came into the world today at 9:52. She’s a sweetheart and we love her so much already.
I woke up this morning at 2 to some contractions, but thought it was just another night of having random contractions, nothing was going to happen. Had a second one soon after- literally once they started they were 3 min apart haha. So we woke our son, drove him to our friends house, and then to the hospital. Ended up being at 10cm fairly quickly, but because she was a bit high up and my water hadn’t broken, we didn’t do anything pushing-wise until about 9:35 (after I had the peanut to help the lowering of her, and then they broke my water). Pushed for a little over 15 min and she was here! Slight tear. But overall, great experience. With my first, I delivered in a military hospital, and it was an overall nightmare. Docs and nurses didn’t listen to me. Pushed for 3 hours because they wanted to ‘get this show on the road’ even though I wasn’t ready to push. Anesthesiologist was a ‘training anesthesiologist’ and messed up my epidural. So having Civ docs in a civ hospital, and having a kind, caring, listening staff this time around was amazing and made it go by faster.
