Unable to Forgive?

Question

How do you move on from hurt in a relationship? I love my boyfriend and everything we have together but he has hurt me so deeply that I don’t know if I’ll be able to move on from it. I don’t want to get into details on this post. 
Has anyone ever forgiven huge hurts while remaining in their relationship?

Going through that too, I’ve been able to forgive him for things in the past before but it’s taken time and a lot of soul searching for myself and training my own mind to learn how to forgive for my sake not his.

You have to make a choice. If you choose to stay then you have to figure out what will make you whole again. This is a internal fight because to forgive stay and be happy you have to be vulnerable again. It will take time so you have to be patient with yourself and continue to be honest about what you feel in moments that you feel the hurt again. Allow him to assist in your healing process. Talk, talk, talk and if he is sorry he will listen, listen, listen. First find out if he is open to helping you heal what he hurt.

I’ve been through this. I wasn’t ready to forgive until I found self-love first. I separated myself from him for a while (2-3 weeks) and I did things that made me happy. Once I felt like I found myself again, I was ready to sit down with him
and depending on what he did, forgive him or talk it out. But none of this would have been possible if I didn’t care and nurture myself first.

Update: he never cheated on me or abused me in any way. Not asking for advice on staying in an unhealthy or abusive relationship
