When should I go in? 💉

So I got my first depo shot on July 25. They scheduled my next appointment mid-late September from what I can remember (I cant find the card). I got the shot while on my period, and it stopped a couple of days after. Hadn’t had one since then, but today I started my period again. I was told they like you to be on your period when you get the shot. So question is, should I find out when my original appointment was and just go to that one or should I call in, say I started my period and schedule my appointment this week (a few weeks earlier from when I was scheduled to get my period). The pharmacy has been sending me texts asking if I needed to refill my shot for the past couple of weeks so idk when to go get it.

Update: found the card, it was scheduled for the 19th.
