I know they say not to make the decision right away but...
This is my second preemie. My 2nd daughter was born at 35+5 due to prom. My son is 6 days old and I went into premature labor for days and then my placenta abrupted after they sent me home at 33+4.
I am DONE having babies. This entire pregnancy was horrendous. I had a rash covering my body, hyperemisis, irritable uterus, and then it ended in a traumatic delivery that put both mine and my son’s lives in danger. They still don’t know what happened but think it may have been preeclampsia because my blood pressure was borderline and I had high uric acid. That would be my second preeclampsia pregnancy. SO and I really wanted to ttc about a year from now so I really need to get birth control in place before that baby bug kicks in again and I change my mind putting myself at risk again.
What is the best permanent or long term birth control that won’t affect breastfeeding? Will an ablation be enough to prevent future pregnancies (I have endometriosis so that wouldn’t be a bad option)? I’ve lost my supply in the past with hormonal birth control (including the mini pill and iud) so I won’t risk that when I have a preemie. If I get my tubes tied will there be any reason I’d have to stop breastfeeding for a day or so?
