6 wks postpartum HEAVY bleeding

Need some advice mamas.

I’m 6 weeks post partum and breastfeeding every 2-3 hours. Sometimes 4 hours at night. I had my post partum check up at 5 weeks and my bleeding had stopped.. it stopped at 4 weeks. At that 5 week appointment I started the mini pill. Now today I’m 6 weeks post partum and I’m bleeding HEAVY and bright red. Like soaked thru a thick pad within an hour (and my pants, and couch). I called my dr, but they haven’t gotten back to me yet. My husband and I have had sex twice since that 5 week appt and I also missed 1 pill. I took it the night day immediately. And I’m definitely not pregnant. I just want to make sure it’s not tore or anything from the sex. It did hurt.
