At what age did you give your child a pillow?

My son is 18 months old and has had a blanket for a few months now because he would drag them to his crib himself and his pediatrician have the all clear.   Lately he’s showing interest in pillows and has been using stuffed animals as pillows while playing or trying to grab them off of the couch.   
What age did you give them an actual pillow in their bed?

Mine pushes everything out of her toddler bed, she hates blankets on her. She likes pillows when she comes into bed with me in the mornings, but not enough to sleep at night with one. She’s 16 months if that helps. Lol.

We moved our son out of his cot and into a bed when he was 2 and he started having a pillow. Never had any issues with it.

Mine had a blanket before 1, but it was a big crocheted blanket with holes. He loves that dang thing. He got the pillow maybe 1.5 years as he didn't really need or want it much. Now he's 2 and drags all his blankets, pillow, and stuffed toys around with him when he's tired and wants to cuddle up.

I don’t plan to give our daughter a pillow or blanket until she’s out of her crib. We plan to move her around age 3. Right now she’s almost two and still sleeps in a sleep sack and has a mini blankie and stuffed animal she falls asleep with, but I take the blankie out before I go to bed, because I’m still terrified of suffocation. However she does nap well at Mother’s Day Out with a nap mat that has a mini pillow and blanket attached.

When he was around 15 months and sleeping in the pack n play, the only way he would fall asleep is if he was laying directly on a pillow. Especially when the ones with satin pillow cases. He would fall asleep on my bed and I would lift the pillow and him and put him in the pack n play. When he went back to his crib in his own room, I would take the pillow after he fell asleep. Now at 2 years old, I leave the pillow in there. He also has a giant duck that he likes to sleep on.

He was 20 months when we moved him into a toddler bed and that’s when I gave him a pillow. He’d been using his stuffed animals as pillows for months before that though.

My oldest has had a toddler pillow from 18mos old. He’s three now and ready for a normal pillow. My youngest is 15 months and wants everything he has, so I went ahead and gave her his old toddler pillow. She’s been sleeping with it just fine. They both also have their own blankets and stuff animals in bed at night.

I had this same question the other day. My son will be 2 next month and I’m going to get him a pillow one a little firmer not to soft. He loves laying on the pillows on my bed.
