Congratulations it’s a healthy chicken

Since my moms chickens are dumb and can’t hatch their eggs I decided to help out by putting the eggs in the incubator.

All the eggs are at different gestations because they were dying-again the hens are dumb. I gave them a chance and they killed half their eggs. They also weren’t turning/flipping their eggs so the babies were growing on only one side of their shells and that causes problems.

The oldest egg hatched today, and since it wasn’t turned for half it’s gestation it hatched of the wrong end and almost bled to death because it hit a blood vessel when it broke the shell.

With a little help, cornstarch and coconut oil, (cornstarch to stop the bleeding and coconut oil is to keep the egg from drying out=death) Henrietta the chicken has been born. It’s currently funny looking because of it being in the wrong position to hatch, kinda like a human baby is funny looking when it’s stuck in the birth canal for too long.

So when Henrietta dries off and doesn’t look funky anymore, I’ll post pics.
