Am I doing this wrong?

What are your LOs up to during the day? Mine is almost 7 weeks old but we’re still not doing much beyond nursing and sleeping. Shouldn’t he be interested in play yet?

He has to be on me the whole day, and we spend the day in the living room where he either nurses or sleeps and I watch an unnatural amount of TV and eat a ridiculous amount of unhealthy food :-/. I’m definitely enabling this bc at the end of the day it’s comfortable enough, but I feel like there should be more to this by now. Shouldn’t there be more play? Whenever I try he’s not really into it and cries very quickly.

He doesn’t nap very well and so his feeds take forever bc he keeps falling a sleep. That doesn’t leave much time for play and then he’s cranky! He has a dairy intolerance that we’re working through.

I keep thinking about supplementing with formula to get his schedule more on track, but if so I’d want to pump to keep my supply up and I can’t do that bc he won’t nap anywhere else but on me. This was a great vent for me!

I’d love to hear how your babies are doing and what their schedule is like. Any advice is of course welcomed!
