Worried for my baby girl who's fatherless

When I first found out I was pregnant I told the father and he seemed interested more than me for sure so for the first half of my pregnancy he wanted to be apart of her life but we knew it would be difficult since we were now living 10hrs apart from one another.

When I was 8 mo I was trying to make arrangements for him to come for our babys birth he told me he didn't know if he could make time and that hed get back to me. Cut to my baby girl who's now 3weeks and I still haven't heard a word. But im independent so I didn't really care I know I don't need him I don't need his support or his money. So it hasn't really bugged me that he hasn't contacted.

But then the other day I just start bawling about it telling myself I shouldn't be selfish (cause I always am but my baby is changing me for the better) sure I don't need him but my babygirl does. I kept thinking what do I say when she asks about her father? Do I say I gave up on him that I didn't try hard enough for him to be apart of her life? So I started to feel guilty about it. And I also dont want her to have daddy issues which my mother keeps saying will happen. I texted him on sc first only to find out he blocked me. I texted his phone and nothing I called and it went to voice mail... now I feel sucky about it all and I don't understand how now he doesn't want anything to do with her..? I know hes not a bad guy he was one of the sweetest guys I've been with so it amazes me that he doesn't seem to care, that he blocked me. It's crazy how during my pregnancy I didn't really want her but he did and now I will never let her go she is my heart and happiness and hes just gone?.. I'm worried that her not having a father will mess her up in some sort of way. And I have know idea what to tell her when the time comes for her to ask why she doesn't have a father... at least it's not me right? At least I tried??
