August 8, I took a pregnancy test it was negative. August 18th, I took another it was positive.

Had my hcg tested at the time I should have been 6 weeks, it was 989. Exactly 1 week later I got it tested again it was 2151, 2 days later it was 2506. My doctor wanted it to rise by at least 50%, but it only went up 17%.

We had a vaginal ultrasound done when I should have been 7 weeks and 2 days. We saw a sac measuring 5mm, no fetus. She said i look more like 5 weeks than 7. My cycles have been off lately, but I did use a ovulation test and it showed a peak on July 27th.

She gave me 2 reasons for this, either 1. I'm not as far along as we thought or 2. The pregnancy isnt progressing.

Has anyone else gone through this and been okay and had a healthy pregnancy? I got back on monday (2 weeks since I last saw my OB).

I went in today for another ultrasound. it progressed a little. The sac got bigger and theres a fetus but its only 2mm, I'm about 7 weeks and it should be 1cm by now with a heartbeat. There was no heartbeat and the baby is only the size of a grain of rice. So I have to wait 2 weeks, and do another ultrasound. Theres a slim chance the baby could catch up otherwise I'll either miscarry by then or she will give me medicine to induce a miscarriage.
