Where were you?

Question

September 11, 2001. 
I was a small child, in second grade. The school day had just began, but I remember my teacher turning on the news and crying. 
I didn’t realize what was going on or why it was so bad until I got home and my parents were there watching the news, as well. That’s what I knew something very, very bad had happened.

I was in 6th grade. The teacher turned on the news and everyone was crying we were all so scared. Every one kept talking about them targeting schools as well and that point parents started picking up their kids. I was the only one left in the class and was terrified. I called my grandma and she came and picked me up.

I was 17. In government class. Another teacher came in and told my teacher to turn the TV on. The 2nd tower hadn't been hit yet. We saw it hit.

We were actually getting ready to go to the airport for my first airplane ride vacation. I was 8. Our aunt in TX called to see if we had saw the news. 
I didn’t fully grasp it, I just knew everyone was sad and it was somber in the house. Everyone we saw was crying. I knew what had happened was bad but at 8 and honestly before 9/11 you wouldn’t ever think of such heartbreak happening.

I just remember being angry that my mom wouldn't stop watching the tv. I was too young to understand what happened.

I was in high school French class. We turned on the tv and watched the news. Was so so awful.

We lived in Alaska at the time since my dad was Air Force. My mom had dropped me and my sister off at a neighbor's before she went to work. The  news showed the broadcast not long after she left with the planes hitting the towers. I was in second grade and just kept thinking planes were going to crash into the school.

I was in Mr. Vinear’s class in 6th grade and he turned it on the TV. We got sent home from school and I remember the bus driver was listening to it on the news on the bus too. We got home and my mom told me what happened.

I was in 5th grade. I had no idea what was going on. Every other kid except for me and one other got picked up. All you heard was teachers crying. The rest of the day it was silent. I got home and my sister told me what happened. I didn’t even know what the twin towers were at that time.

2nd period English class sophomore year. I remember exactly who was sitting around me. I remember the rumors flying throughout the day because my school did not deal with the situation well, we were told after the first tower went down but after that it was radio silence, nobody was allowed in the library or onto the computers. This was before smart phones of course so the only way to get information was second hand through somebody who had overheard a teacher or something.

I was on my way to work. When I got to work, my coworkers were watching TV and they were saying, “oh my goodness have you seen what’s happened?!” And I said no and started watching the news as well… I was in complete shock but then at 9:03 AM, I watched another plane hit the second tower on live TV. I will never forget that day, especially that moment.
