Is winter a bad time for a wedding?

I want to get married on February 8 but I live in Michigan so idk if that’s stupid because of the weather. It’s indoors of course, guess I’m just concerned if we would like get a giant snow storm and no one could come lol. But I really want it on that day. Any thoughts or people who have had winter wedding?

Do you have people traveling from out of town? My main concern would just be potential flight delays/cancellations! If everyone is pretty local then I think it’s fine.

I also live in Michigan and the last snow storm was pretty awful. My issues would be if the caterers would cancel, photographers would cancel, etc. if your family is great they will make the effort and try, but we did have our state of emergency in February last year so idk

I also live in Michigan. I think a winter wedding would be beautiful. I'd just be concerned about people cancelling last minute if a snow storm came. Winter is always so unpredictable here it's hard to say if it's going to be a bad one this year.

My cousin had a beautiful wedding in January. Snow had just fallen (Boston, ma), the picture were beautiful. Not many people had to travel, mostly local. And she saved a ton of money (was the Sunday of mlk weekend). The venue is one of the most expensive ones with the Boston skyline, but timing was more than half off venue and vendors.
