Would you date a cop/correctional officer?

I recently started talking to a correctional officer who is part of the narcotics k9 unit. He's really cool and nice and I like him. The thing is, I'm not one to cross the blue line. I'm mixed Filipino and Native American, I'm lgbtq+, I have stoner friends and I'm a giant liberal hippie. Im basically everything a cop is supposed to hate. I told my friend about him and she immediately got on my case. I'm worried about other friends doing the same. He's a really awesome guy though and I dont want to count him out just because of his job description. I'm under the full belief that not all cops are bad. I've dealt with bad and crooked cops all my life but, I've also met a few good ones. What do you all think? Would you date a cop or correctional officer? Why or why not? Share your thoughts below.
