Breast milk AND formula?

So with my first, I physically couldn’t breastfeed. I have like F sized breasts and it was just impossible. I pumped for a couple weeks but then found out my baby needed to be on soy. So going into my 2nd baby - I would love to pump and give her breast milk as long as I can, and hopefully she won’t have a sensitivity like my son did - but idk if I’ll be able to commit to solely pumping breast milk. Is it okay to pump what I can when I can... and give her formula other times?

Of course it's ok! Feed your child anyway you can! Nothing else matters except that your baby is fed. Best of luck!

You may also want try giving nursing another shot. I’m a few sizes bigger than an F and I nursed 2 babies now a combined 2+ years and counting. 
I’ll admit it was a bit tricky finding the right hold at first, but certainly not impossible. A nursing pillow is a big help for me, and I typically use this position so I can support baby with one arm and support my breast with my free hand

Why soy?  My second had a dairy and soy intolerance (I breastfed) so I cut those things from my diet.  I personally hate all the crap they are putting in formula so I would set a goal to breastfeed as much as possible and then only supplement if you have to!  Maybe try working with a lactation consultant to help you find some positions that work better for larger breasted women :)

Yup! Just mix the formula as you normally would w water and THEN mix ready formula w breastmilk. Make sure you still follow the refrigeration rules for the breastmilk even when mixed w formula.
