Did I have bloody show or was I bleeding because of the cervical exam? ***read below please**

On Thursday I had my cervical exam done with no spotting or bleeding right after. About 2 hours later when I went to the bathroom I noticed I had quiet a bit of mucus with bright red blood, not only that but when I continued to pee that day there was bright red specks of blood in the toilet. Was this my bloody show or was it just because of the exam? I am currently having more and more contractions but not frequent enough to count it as true labor.
