Being induced!?!?!?

Ahh I’m so nervous! I had my 28 week ultrasound (ultrasounds every two weeks) and my fluid is extremely high and I will be induced regardless of what happens moving forward at 37 weeks 38 the LATEST. Anyone have any experience being induced? I’ve heard so many horror stories but then heard it was fine. Give me the good and the bad ladies! Below is my baby boy Ledger 💙

I was induced after my water broke naturally without contractions starting. The induction went fine and I was in labor for 6 hours. The contractions hurt but I can’t say whether they were worse than natural labor because it was my first pregnancy.

Induced 3 times, emergency c section one time.
1st: induced at 39weeks, bub was 8lbs4.5oz
2nd: induced at 38weeks, bub was 9lbs11oz
3rd: emergency c section at 35w5d due to a rupture of the placenta, bub was 7lbs6oz
4th: went into labour at 36w5days, induction meds given and baby was born at 36w5d. 9lbs6.5oz.
Baby number 5: due December 7th, will be induced by 37weeks.
Aside from bub #3 who spent time in nicu, all came home the next day. Dont panic, it'll all be fine 😊

Induction suck....the drugs put your contractions in overdrive and your body may or may not cooperate (meaning you may have a csection)but I've been induced twice and never had any problems besides extremely painful contractions. 37 weeks is a good time too....baby's full term and fattened

I was induced and i didn't feel any painful contractions until they broke my water. I was just uncomfortable. I was in labor for exactly 8 hours and did it natural.

I loved my induction (@ 40 weeks for high BP). Got a great epidural right before my pitocin. No pain, just pressure, was able to push well and very minimal tearing. Hoping to have the same experience with this labor.

I was induced with my son at 38 weeks. So easy and smooth! We’re doing the exact same this time too (I’m on blood thinners plus have other medical issues which makes induction at 38 weeks the best option). They gave me cervidil the night before and sent me home to rest. The next morning we went in. Contractions had already started throughout the night from the cervidil and I progressed from 2-3 cm overnight. They broke my water when I went in that morning for my scheduled induction. Contractions started fully from that and I asked for an epidural. I didn’t progress much at first so they talked about pitocin but it seemed that after the epidural things progressed quickly. I went from 5-9 cm in an hour after the epidural and only needed to push for 10 minutes or so. We broke my water at 9:30am and he was here at 2:30pm. Recovery was smooth and easy as well. They gave me one stitch (had I not been on blood thinners they probably wouldn’t have bothered). I’m looking forward to doing the induction again this time and hope it goes just as smoothly!

I was induced last October 25th when my waters broke the day before (my due date) in my experience it was completely fine,contractions are very intense but they didn’t start without me getting induced so I really can’t compare.. baby girl was born October 26th 9:39am and was healthy and beautiful! Now 7 months pregnant with baby boy due December 23rd and wouldn’t mind if I had to be induced again!! Good luck and congratulations

I was induced (for different reasons though) at 39 weeks and it was a great experience. Wouldn’t mind being induced this second time around, to be honest 😅 the process started at 8pm and baby was born at 5:53am the following morning. Managed to do it all without pain relief (even though contractions hurt so so bad). Baby was perfectly fine after birth (heart rate was going down cause he was stuck but that was due to his position) and I only had a second degree tear. It went so much better than I expected cause I too had heard so many horror stories about induction. Good luck with it all and I hope you have a positive experience like me 😊

I was induced with my first at 41 weeks and so many days. After 2 or 3cm my dr artificially ruptured my water. That’s when everything went to 💩. I remember crying in so much agony that it felt like everything was breaking. I begged for an epidural and was so disappointed in myself for asking. I wanted to have a natural birth without an epidural and my plan went down the drain. The nurse comforted me saying I had about 5% chance of doing a natural birth while being induced. Being induced makes your body go from 0-100 very quickly unlike naturally going into birth which is a gradual process. When I got an epidural they turned off the pitocin which made me even more upset knowing the contractions were manageable without the pitocin. The epidural killed my back for a year afterwards. The spot where it was inserted hurt for a year and was a bump there for a long time.
