How did you deliver?

One of my worst fears for child birth is a c-section. Are there any moms who have had a c-section that could tell me its not as bad as i think?

I’m terrified of a c section too. I mean it’s major surgery, while you’re awake. I would like to avoid one at all costs. Props to the c section moms bc I would be scared to death. I almost had to have one but luckily I started progressing finally and was able to deliver vaginally.

In all honesty the first one was bad because I didn't know what to expect pain wise 😬 but other than that everything was good

I loved having a c section, it was calm and organized and I knew what to expect. Recovery is typically longer but could be just as long if you year badly in a vaginal birth. I’ll be opting for another csection this time over a vbac.

I mean it’s rough but not unsurvivable lol. My first was an emergency and that took about two weeks to recover from. My second was scheduled and I was feeling great by day 5.

I’ve had 3 c-sections, all emergency for various reasons. I don’t think recovery is bad at all. I always am up and walking shortly after recovery which I think helps a lot! You will need help for a solid week with the baby as I was unable to sit and stand without using my arms. Usually day 8 was a huge point in recovery and I felt a lot better and could do everything myself. I’ve always been taking only ibuprofen by discharge but everyone has a different pain tolerance!

I've had both... Both were painful. Epidural failed me with VBAC with #2 because of my BP. 
Had to get spinal anesthesia poked 2x because the anesthesiologist sucks at his job... Still upset about that just thinking about it. 
With pregnancy...is unpredictable what will happen, so don't bother trying prepar3 yourself! Not worth the stress when anything can go.

I had a csection over 16 years ago. My wisdom teeth getting pulled was worse than my csection. I'm getting another one October 9th. Hopefully this one is just as smooth.

I have had 3 vaginal birth. 
To try to avoid a csection, dont do an elective induction and dont get the epidural. 
There’s people on here that might tell you that they did these things and things went well and it’s possible that it might go the same for you but statistical data shows that these two things are more likely to result in a csection, especially if this is your first baby

I had a section which was ok obviously it's not everyone's idea of how they wont there both story to go but least my daughter arrived safely.
