My husband and I never go on dates. Very rarely. I’ve asked him before why he doesn’t want to and he says that he does, but money and finding a babysitter are things that get in the way. It is true that it’s difficult to find and keep a sitter, we’ve been through a few, and we don’t have a ton of money, but I feel like much of the time he just doesn’t want to. He’ll spend money on other things and he won’t really bother to find a sitter unless it’s an event he really, really wants to go to. Which obviously is few and far between. I’m at a loss. How often do you go on dates? How can I get my husband to make the effort? Or should I just initiate it somehow? I just feel like I want him to want to. I don’t know.
