Gravy on fries?

Do you eat fries with gravy on them? We went out to eat tonight and I got hamburger steak with gravy and fries, I asked to have gravy put on my fries and that lady looked at m like I was the weirdest person alive. Do you put gravy on your fries?

I’m pretty sure most of the people I know would have gravy on their chips/fries. It’s delicious. It’s pretty rare to find a place that doesn’t have gravy on fries as an option here in Australia.

Yes! Steak fries and gravy! My grandma used to make it for me all the time. I like my gravy on the side though so I can double dip 😂

Sometimes yes, depending. It is typically with steak if I'm making a gravy, or sometimes with mushroom or cheese sauce, or tomato sauce, sometimes even with mustard. Depends on my mood.

Ive never tried it. But I’m surprised that someone would react so oddly, seeing as a lot of people smother gravy on mashed potatoes?
