Does baby leave your sight in hospital when born?

Hi, I’m due any day and I’m really worried about my baby leaving my sight in hospital!

Not in my experience. When I had my son, they gave him to me straight after delivery. They did take him for a few moments after that (not out of the room) to wrap him up and give him the vitamin k injection. He was then given to my hubby for a cuddle while I was stitched up. 
I had to stay overnight and he slept next to us on the ward in the little crib. All the checks that were done the next morning (hearing, health check etc.) were all done with us present.

No not unless they go into special care (NICU) they don’t have beds in there so you get sent to the ward without baby.. My oldest was born at 33wks so I came home after 3days and had to leave him there it was horrible. With my youngest son and daughter they was full term so they stay with me while at the hospital. 😊

Not unless they go to nicu. Each bed has a cot next to it and you're expected to keep baby with you the whole time. 
If you're exhausted the midwives sometimes offer to watch baby for an hour or two so you can sleep, but it's not to be expected. 
Also my baby was readmitted to hospital when he was two weeks old. "we've arranged a bed for you both" - it wasn't even a discussion that I would be required or expected to leave my baby in there alone, like we were a package deal 💙
