Not weird! I’m a stay at home wife. I have a degree. My SO and I just prefer it this way. He appreciates a clean house, folded laundry, and dinner. If we both worked in our fields we wouldn’t ever have that. We also wouldn’t see each other hardly EVER. And a happy relationship is worth more than any job can pay.

I did it when my husband was in the army. I did side hobbies and would make some money from it. But otherwise I was the basic house maid lol. I loved it and I honestly didn't care what others thought. It worked for us.

If it’s causing issues and he wants her to work and she doesn’t want to, then yes that’s not fair. 
But if they’re both happy with their situation, and money isn’t an issue, then who cares 🤷🏼‍♀️

Personally, my anxiety wouldnt let me because I feel like I need to earn my own money. However that's just me. Theres nothing wrong with it if it works for that couple. My male coworkers with high earning wives like joking about being stay at home husbands (and they're engineers lmao). If theres no need for one to be working, then theres no need. Some people aren't out there to be making as much money as possible. Once you hit the amount you need to be happy, sometimes that's enough for people.

I’m in a limbo land between stay at home no kids and stay at home mom. I’d always been a workaholic until I got pregnant and was so sick for the first 19 weeks. He has a fantastic job and I own a small business so occasionally I go to work for a couple of hours to fill in. I’m loving it. Giving me time to plan the wedding and look into neighborhoods. And most importantly to rest when I can and exercise/clean/cook throughout the day.

No. Who cares? If they want to be a stay at home wife and not have children, that’s perfectly fine. I can’t care less.
