I just got my first job ever and he says hell send out the schedule next Tuesday for me to start working the week after this upcoming week. THE PROBLEM is that I have plans to go to the beach for four days(this upcoming weekend going into Monday and tuesday of the week after).
Do I say something before he sends out the schedule? Or no

Yes, tell him you have pre-booked something that you need holiday off for. Most places ask at the interview if you have upcoming holidays booked

Tell him now because if not he might schedule you those two days and you might be put under call off for your first two days and that's not a good way to start

Haiiii everyone!!!!! I had to send him a text! It was this 
"Hey Daniel, it's Andrea. I wanted to give you a heads  up about the schedule on my end. My family had a trip planned for September 28th to October 1st. I wanted to know if I could be put on for any other day besides those 4? I'm so sorry for the inconvenience! I thought I should let you know before the schedule goes out. 
If there's no way to work around it, I understand. 
Thank you so much for your patience with me!"
Because he didn't answer his phone. If I don't receive a text back, do I call in a couple of hours?
