Tongue Piercing

I got my tongue pierced on Saturday 9/21/19 and it is now Monday 9/23/19 and I’m not sure if I’m going to make it.😂

If the swelling gets any worse I really might have to take it out. I answer a lot of phone calls at work.

But my biggest problem is that I can’t even function normally with the long bar they used to pierce it with. I understand they have to do that because of swelling but I’m a very small person compared to most people. So I have a tiny mouth. 😂 For the first few hours it was literally gagging me. It’s leaving bruises in my mouth under my tongue. I can’t even close my mouth all the way.

So I guess my question is can I do anything to help with what’s happening now, and when is the earliest I can have it changed? I will be going back to the piercer to have it changed the first time.
