Cord round neck?

Did anyone give birth with cord round babies neck? I'm scared of this happening after seeing my 4d scan...

My guys was wrapped really tight around his neck and he came out screaming like crazy, he's perfectly healthy!

It doesn't matter for quite the reason you would think - babies need to breathe until the placenta detaches from mom. But it can be a problem of the cord is getting squashed with each contraction.

I was a c section baby for that very reason. Best thing to do is not stress over it. It's not really something you can control. I've heard not to lift anything over your head or reach over your head late in pregnancy, because that may be a link to it.

About half the babies I help deliver have cords around their necks.

This was 33yrs ago but I had the cord wrapped around my neck once and my leg twice when my mom went into labor. They had to do an emergency csection as it was unsafe to deliver like that. Not sure if they still do that so I can't speak to things now. I have heard the story my whole life and I am scared that now that I am prego, our little girl will be the same tumbler I was and get tangled. I am 29w5d and she is currently frank breech so we shall see what happens as we get loser. Good luck!!
