I feel like I’m in labor limbo!

Kelly

I think I’ve been in early labor for like 2 days now. Two days ago (my actual due date) I started having painless contractions every 10 minutes or so.

Yesterday, I woke up and realized I hadn’t really felt baby much since the previous afternoon. I mentioned it to my doctor, who told me to go to L&D. While there, discovered that little guy was fine and I was having contractions every 5 minutes or so, but they still didn’t hurt much. I was only “fingertip” dilated. Got sent home, and told that it could be hours or it could still be another week (I’m scheduled for induction on 10/1 at 41+1 if this baby doesn’t come before then).

After leaving the hospital, contractions kept going and stayed between 3-8 minutes apart all day. Some got painful, but not consistently. Last night I had a couple really painful ones. I also started passing pieces of my mucus plug. Called the doctor who told me to wait an hour and see what happened. The painful ones stopped, and I was able to sleep through the night at home.

Woke up this morning and went to the bathroom, where I passed a huge glob which I think was the rest of my mucus plug. I also had some fluid come out but not a ton so I don’t think it was my water. Haven’t really had more fluid either, so I don’t really think my water broke yet.

Still having contractions every 4-5 minutes or so, but they’re really not painful yet and I was told to wait until they become painful.

This is killing me! I feel like I’m gonna be in this “am I in labor?” phase until I get induced next week. My husband called out of work for today because of how I was last night, but now I’m thinking there’s not gonna be any more news today.

I just want this to be over and for this baby to be here!
