Pee on a Stick Freaks / Dpo BFP odds

Hi ladies!

I just wanted to post this for anyone it might help as it’s something I found myself constantly googling out of curiosity. So I’ll share my story, haha.

How soon can you get a BFP?!

everyone is obviously different (cycle length, ovulation day, etc) and pregnancy tests have different sensitivity levels so that makes a difference! So I’ll be detailed!

I have a 13 month old daughter. When ttc her I used opks and temped. My trackers consistently said I ovulate on cd16. I have regular 28/29 day cycles.

I tested with frer’s. STARK white bfn 8dpo. I mean, there wasn’t even a squinter that I could pretend on. I even took one late at night after a very long hold. The next morning I said screw it, I’m not testing today, it’ll just be negative again and piss me off. Well finally mid morning I changed my mind and found myself weeing on another frer! Sure as shit a vvvvfl appeared. I thought it was faulty. It was so light. BUT it was still able to show up in a picture so I thought that counted for something. Since I’m a pee on a stick freak that was my last test. I was out. But again since I like peeing on money apparently, I ran to the store to a two pack. Regular stick frer and a gold frer digital. After an hour and half hold I squeezed out some more wee and the line appeared again! Maybe slightly better than before. Couple more hours passed and I peed on the digital and it said YES! So 8dpo was clearly bfn, but 9dpo was clearly a BFP. Keep in mind these were the 6 days sooner pink line tests. Not the rapid results.

Fast forward to current day. I still like to piss money away apparently and pee on sticks. I was 8dpo on Monday this week. I had some tests and thought what the hell. Completely expecting a bfn but thought it’d be fun anyway. I tested with the frer. A very faint line showed! Whhaattt?! It was like my 4th wee of the morning too. I thought for sure it’s a faulty stick. I went to the store right away and bought a two pack. Stuck one in my same cup of wee and it WAS a faulty test! Dang thing wouldn’t even suck up the wee. I broke it open and it was put together wrong. As if these things didn’t cost enough 😤 I ripped the other open and stuck it in and this one worked luckily! It turned out just like my first. Very very faint line but clearly there. Could this be?!? Guess what? I went back to the store. (If my SO knew how much I spent on those dang things, yikes!). This time around though I’m like I should just get a cheaper pack. So I bought this blue dye test. Aannndd while I was there I went ahead and grabbed an expensive trio pack with a regular frer, a digital and a rapid response. (I have issues clearly.). I peed on the blue dye when I got back and it was negative 👎🏼. I was like wth. This is dumb. Maybe I’m not pregnant. So I busted out the frer digi. It came up NO! Not pregnant. Buutttt how could this be?! My two frer from earlier aren’t even squinters! They are light. But clearly there on two different tests from two different boxes. Soooooo I got out that other regular frer from the box and peed on it. Sure as shit it showed a faint positive like the other two. At this point I’m feeling like I’m pregnant and that the digital just isn’t as sensitive and neither is the blue dye test I snagged up. Believe it or not, I stopped testing that day 😂

Tuesday rolls around (9dpo) and I got my fresh morning wee. My blue dye test was a 2 pack. So I got the last one of those out and gave it a go! It came

up positive! But you never trust blue die right?! So I took the rapid results test out and it was BFP too. But to be really sure, later that day I went and bought another digital. Frer gold again, same as the one from Monday. It came up YES!

To back track for a moment, after I got the NO on the digital test Monday. I called the number on the box and reported that I had a BFP on the stick but negative on the digital. She did confirm that it’s not as sensitive. And she confirmed the rapid results test also isn’t as sensitive. So that makes sense why those two were negatives on Monday. Oh, also she said she’d send me out a coupon due to this! Hah
