Birth story : so this morning I went in for my induction at 7:30 am started oxytocin and was at 3.5 cm dilated, contractions started getting closer and stronger by 10am they put in a Foley catheter and it was not pleasant ☹️ I was in a lot of pain and asked for an epidural the anesthesiologist was able to come almost right away and everything went smoothly it was like an instant heavenly relief haha they checked me around 11ish And I was 8 cm dilated things were progressing so quickly shortly after I was a 9.5 and soon I was at a 10 and it was time to start pushing! My epidural started wearing off and it was the most intense pain I’ve ever felt Unfortunately my daughters heart rate dropped drastically and they asked whether I wanted to use forceps or to have a c section, I made the call to do the c section as I know someone personally who has a bad experience with forceps. So I was whisked away to the OR and everything was pretty chaotic for a few minutes! Within 20 minutes my baby girl was out and screaming her lungs out - a beautiful sound. I honestly don’t regret my decision for a c section whatsoever I think it was definitely the right call to make! She is so beautiful!
