Stinging in my vagina? Been going on for weeks

Hi everyone,

I’ve been wanting to talk about this on the glow app for a while now, but I didn’t want to consult my problems on an app, because Monday I do have an appointment with my gynecologist, and this is my first time ever going to one and I am beyond anxious and terrified.

My problem has been going on for a few weeks now, and at first it started with a burning sensation down there, not necessarily outside but the inside of my vagina. I didn’t want to bring it up to my mom because she has problems on problems on problems dealing with a kid who has cystic fibrosis and a husband who’s in remission from leukemia, so my problem to me, wasn’t that important enough to tell my mother about. But It got to the point where I couldn’t handle the pain any longer. So I told her and we will went a minute clinic and they told me it wasn’t a UTI but there’s some bacteria. So I took a med called nitrofurantoin. I didn’t take all the doses and didn’t take them at the correct time. My fault. So I messed it all up. But then I went to an urgent care because this pain still hasn’t gone away. I got tested for a UTI and STDs and it came back negative. Does anyone else have this problem or has had it? So much discomfort and burning, sex is extremely painful. It doesn’t hurt when I pee, but hurts tremendously AFTER I pee. I am so scared and nervous about what I might be told at the gynecologist. I’m still very young and I’m praying nothing is wrong.
