Insemination

Has anyone had success with at-home insemination (nothing fancy, I’m literally talking medicine dropper here)?

My husband is unable to have sex for six weeks due to surgery, and neither of us wanted to let a month pass without trying, so he, uh, deposited some sperm in a sterile cup and I used a medicine dropper two nights in a row. However, it doesn’t even seem like I got any in!! It was a mess!

Anyone have experience with this?
