Is this fair?

K

So I work as a home health aid.

I wipe my clients butt, shower my client, wash her soiled sheets, clean up urine messes, clean up blood and other bodily fluids, remind her to stay on track (which is a lot harder than it sounds), do laundry, straighten up, walk/bathe/feed her dog, answer the same question 10x in 1 hour, polish her silver, act as moral support, listen to her all day, make sure she takes her meds, relay important info back to her family, meal prep, transport her to doctor appointments, and much, much more.

I work 12 hour shifts, sometimes 5-6 days a week, and I get up at 6 AM.

The owner I work for charges the clients $21.00/hr. I only make $9.25/hr. (That’s with a 25 cent raise.. I’ve been working there for over a year.) This already, I see as unfair. However, the owner I work for also charges my client $1.00/per mile I travel in MY car, and I only get 45 cents out of that dollar. This just seems ridiculous to me. I understand employers have certain expenses that employees don’t think about, like health insurance or something like that.. but they don’t offer health insurance even for full time employees. They only offer crappy dental insurance that only covers preventive care (only 2 visits per year.) Am I rightfully angry?
