Too soon to test?

Last month I was 8 days late, I tested and it was negative much tomy disappointment. This month, I am 9 day away from my expected period, but over the last couple of days I am having some pretty constant mild cramps and my boobs are soooooo sore. I did have sex during my fertile window about 10 days ago. Is it too soon to test. I do t want to get a false negative, but I am also thinking I might be experiencing implantation symptoms, but I don't know
