October Baby Became September Baby 💖

My Story Below

My OB did a sweep yesterday Thursday (26th) on my at my 38w+ 2 appt at 3:30pm I was a 2-3.5cm dilated and baby is ready! She said she was confident baby would come and gave me “a good sweeping” it wasn’t unbearable by any means. I had cramping and some mild contractions but nothing really. I walked, cleaned and ate some pineapple!

This morning Friday (27th) I lost a good chunk of my mucus plug and some discharge tinged with some blood. I am going to go walking again with my very cranky toddler and hope this helps keeps things moving!

Update: came back from my walk after about an hour. Had some serious cramping while I was out walking. Hoping this helped! Nothing new other than that. I’m currently just resting a little.

Update 2: Did the deed w/ hubby at about 3:30pm and had a few contractions, lost more of my plug but not a whole lot (not like this morning)

Update 3: Went for another long walk to the grocery store to buy items to try ... midwives brew...

Update 4: 7pm Drank all the midwives brew (it’s pretty gross but not terrible) I’ve been having some tightening in my belly about 20 mins after. Let’s see if this works!

Update 5: I’ve been having painful cramping and what I think are contractions with my belly being extremely tight since about 8pm I only had one bowel movement and I don’t feel it was because the drink. It’s almost 9:30pm and I’m hoping these are all good signs!

Update 6: 11:30pm arrived At the hospital in prelabour the contractions got too much to do at home with a toddler, currently stuck at 3.5cm and they are waiting on a nurse to become available for me so they can break my water.

Luckily my OB is here and is making me stay . So I think baby will be coming today or tomorrow.

Update 7: Water broke on its own at 2:05am and was a whopping 4cm only! Contractions are crazy painful and of course they had no nurse available for me so I have To labour it out in the triage!

Update 8: Baby girl arrivistes at 3:02am today (saturday) it was INTENSE & FAST! I was 4cm jumped to 7cm within minutes and then next thing you know literally 3 mins after I’m crying because her head was coming! I almost birthed her in the hall. I did probably 4 actual pushes and that was it! Dr and nurses didn’t even have time to react! It was that fast! I did tear because I was only 7cm when she was coming but I’m feeling okay! Also no drugs! It hurt I was screaming a lot lol

Final: Saturday September 28th @ 3:02am Baby GIRL weighed 7lbs 10 oz measuring 20 inches long. She is nursing great and adorable!

I would say the midwives brew accompanied w/ a sweep was 100% successful! It was super fast labour though and extremely intense and painful.
