Hard time finding a best friend

I guess I’m just feeling bummed and I know its a common problem at this phase in life to have trouble making friends. But the thing is, I am super sociable and easy to talk to so I don’t have trouble making acquaintances, just real, deep friendships.

Now I do have one close friend that’s been my friend for like 9 years or something but we are very different and I’m not sure we’ve ever been truly in unity. I am a strange type of girl....not type A. I’m very adaptable and my husband is in ministry as a traveling Evangelist so I know I am this way for a reason with our calling in life. I am not tied to a schedule or uptight about moving and uncertainty in life. I am a free spirit and very confident in who I am so not ever competitive but also not good at verbal encouragement which I know my friend likes.

She has a new friend now that is more high strung like her and I see that they get along better. I’m happy for her but it just makes me realize I have no one like me. I’m not sure I’ve ever known another female like me. Just wondering if I will ever have someone who understands that I can really have a fulfilling friendship.
