Can you use the same name as a friend?

My best friend had a girl a few years ago named Harper. It was a top 5 on my list at the time but I wasn’t having kids yet. She now lives a few hours away and I’m pregnant. I would really like to use the name but it seems like a faux pas. Does it really matter if the kids hardly see each other?
