Induction with only cytotech!

I went in the night of the 24th around 8pm to be induced for the 25th. I was 40w and 5 days, they start me on cytotech which I was going to have every 3 hours until I was soft and ready for Pictocin. But after my 2nd dose I was already 5cm and contracting so regularly that they let me labor without it! The pain was so bad by 5cm they gave me 2 does of fentanyl over the course of an hour and 45 minutes! After that I caved and got the epidural around 4-5am, and it was such a relief! At around 6:30 I called the nurse and told her I could feel her head and intense pressure with every contraction, the check and I'm 9 almost 10 centimeters! They ask me to start practice pushing and with my FIRST push she was crowning (head literally half way out) and they were freaked! My doctor wasn't at the hospital yet so they made me stop pushing for about 15 minutes while they went and found the most available doctor! One more tiny push and she was out! I got a 1st degree tear on my inner left side and had to get 2 stitches! Not bad for a FTM. Anyway I'm so happy she's here and we are both healthy 😊
