Healthy Options for Baby’s Birthday Treat?
Hey mamas, just wondering if anyone has any feedback on having a sugar-free dessert (cupcake/muffin preferred) for baby’s first birthday? She’s still mostly breastfed with the occasional Mum Mum or taste of beans. I try to give her solids but she just wants her leche.. lol.
Definitely not getting anything sugary for her, so wondering if anyone has experience or luck finding healthy options for baby to have something for birthday?
Someone somewhere recommended perhaps a blueberry muffin made from mom’s breast milk.... I didn’t know that was possible... something I have to make myself?
I’m probably skipping the cake smash deal (due to no sugar for baby/not spending on something to be smashed) and opting for cupcakes instead as treat for our guests...
Also thinking of getting them made by bakery instead of DIY or basic store bought, so wondering if I could ask them to incorporate a baby friendly cupcake or muffin for her too.... is that weird to ask them?
FTM here in case that’s not glaringly obvious. 😂

Dear Lord Almighty, y’all reading between the lines waaaaay too much on this whole solid thing... talk about dramatic much? 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
Never said she doesn’t have solids. She’s tried a lot of different ones. Matter of fact, I make things for her all the time, I was simply saying she is still primarily breastfed. I have a mama friend who EBF until age 1... her personal choice, yet some of you would bite her head off, geez... to each and every mama her own. I’m not over here telling anyone how to parent, but some people have nothing better to do I suppose. 🤷🏽♀️
Perhaps my word choice “occasionally” is what sent some of you flipping out... 🤔 so let’s reword it... her Mum Mums and beans are the foods that don’t end up on the ground. There. Better? Oh, she enjoys avocado too. Lord forgive me for leaving that out. 🤦🏽♀️
Yes, I’m going to call out those that are giving me unsolicited advice on feeding baby solids because that’s not what I’m asking... I was asking for suggestions from other mamas on a sugar-free dessert. 😑
The only reason I mentioned how much she still nurses was just for background as to why I was interested in recipes where I could incorporate breast milk. 😐
Obviously a mistake on my end because some of you are acting like I’m depriving my child and withholding solids.... 😱
Newsflash... she’s just a baby who loves her milk. Our pediatrician hasn’t locked me up in mama jail for that, so the solid police can take a chill pill. 😂
I’ve officially seen it all on this app.
