Interviews and following up

Hi ladies, I just wanted to get some advice from other people. I recently had 4 interviews with different banks. Every time I go, I make sure I do my research on the bank and play the part and dress the part. Each interview seemed to went pretty good. I was told I would receive an email either way, if they chose me or didn’t choose me. It has been two weeks since my one interview and I even emailed the guy with a follow up email to see if I got the position or what the end result was... I have plenty of experience so I’m not sure why I am not landing these jobs but do employees typically lie about emailing you either way? I’d rather have an email that says I didn’t get the job then just not hear anything at all.
