At what age did you stop room sharing with baby?

My son is almost 5 months old and I feel like I can’t get anything done for fear of waking him in my room. I have a sound machine but it’s like he can sense when I’m doing something.

My daughter is 2w and sleeps in her own room. My son was 3w when he got his own room. We learned early everyone sleeps so much better in their own space.

2 weeks. That first week was awful for the both of us and we found putting him in his own room was better for everyone.

I moved my son at 14 months. The original plan was to move him after 6 months, but it just didn't feel right, so I left him until I felt he was ready. Everyone kept telling me that the transition would be so much harder the longer I waited, but it wasn't hard at all. First night in his room and he slept like nothing had changed.

We just moved our daughter at 7 months. It's recommend that they stay in your room for the first 12 months but I'd say 6 minimum.

I moved my son at 4 months. It was when he was sleeping through the night most nights.  We both slept so much better once I moved him.

About 4.5 months. He started sleeping more lightly and would stir when I would walk into the room, roll, etc. He could also sense me and would wake up to nurse more frequently (like 6-7 times/night). This got a bit better when we moved him.
