Advice needed...
Hi, I am new here. I am in desperate need of advice. Sorry for it being so long.
I am in a situation in witch I don't know what to do. My biological father is on life support and his family is going to take him off of it this Saturday and let him die in peace. My father has never been there for me in any way. In the last 18 years I have seen him 4 times. 2 of them since last July when he had open heart surgery. He lives 3 hrs away and for the past 3 or so years he has been promising to come visit but never actually did. I understand he being sick for the past 2 years and not being able to come. My kids and I were just visiting him 2 weeks ago because he was in ICU and had to be resuscitated because his heart stopped. Ever since I have been having awful thoughts like why do I care if he never did, he's never been there for me in any way. It's sad I know but now that I want to be there along with his family when he goes. Am I wrong for doing this? Should I go or not go? Any advice is really appreciated. TIA
