Do you believe it’s important to ask your SO permission to go places, wear certain clothes, etc.

( not judging ANYONE I just would like to know what the majority does )

Neither of us ask permission to go places, but we communicate before making plans to make sure we’re on the same page. We respect one another.

I’m a fully formed adult. No one gives me permission to do anything. Any dude who tried would be shown the door quickly.

I’ve never asked permission to go or wear anything. My boyfriend is just that, my boyfriend not my dad. Do I let him know I’m going somewhere (more so in case of an emergency) yes but I never ask permission. If he even dare tell I need to ask permission he’d be my ex.

My hubby works away. He works ten days on and four days off. I drop him off to work and I also pick him up sometimes. 
My trip is  three hour drive to pick him up and then the three hours home. we often stay overnight and come home in the morning because I’m not driving home at night too. And he has worked a 12 hour shift. Safety first. The times we have come straight home means I’ve been driving nearly all day. I’m exhausted by the time I get home. Yes we take stops every few hours. And if he is feeling up to it he will drive for a while. But we swap back before too long. After a short drive he will go to sleep.  I don’t mind picking him up from work. At least I know that he is getting home safely. I should have said that I arrive at his work early and I have a sleep until he finishes so I’m ok to drive home again if needed. I know that he appreciates the fact that I am willing to do this for him. Sometimes he can get a lift home which is fantastic. We arrive home at about 10pm or there about.  But the main thing for me is that we are both home safely.

Not ask permission but let them know your going somewhere And I’m not going to ask can i wear something but if i wear something that they think is to revealing or whatever i would change out of respect

i asked my fiancé to ask me before he goes anywhere 1) so i know where he’s going for safety purposes and 2) in case i had anything planned but other than that no

We do not ask permission to go places, we more tell each other out of courtesy and ask if other plans have been made.
If someone’s SO is telling them how to dress, 🚩

Noooo. I let him know where I’m going just because so he won’t worry about us (me and my son). But I never ‘ask permission’. He is not my dad. 
And he doesn’t control what I can and can’t wear.
