This is the real deal! Advice?🙏

Sarah

Hey, everyone! My name is Sarah, and I have a boyfriend who (as of last month) became a 2nd Lt in the army. He just got his first official orders a couple weeks ago saying he had 30 days before he has to be in Georgia for training. He'll be there from October to about February. After that, he'll be home for about a month and then he's being stationed in the middle east for about a year it sounds like.

My boyfriend and I started out long distance, and a couple summers ago he was away for about 6 months down in Ft. Knox for advanced camp. So, it's not like we've never been away from each other, but this time it's different. This is the real deal, you know? He's no longer in ROTC anymore.

I've been trying to stay positive and do what I can to make him smile, but I know he's really stressed. All of us are😔

I'm also trying to remind myself that this is only temporary, that he won't be gone forever, but it's hard. I worry about him, and I obviously can't help but be upset that he's leaving 💔

It's also been really difficult, because I don't want him to see me upset, you know? I know that it'll just make it a lot harder for him in the end.

This is probably going to be the first Christmas as well as his first birthday that I won't be able to spend with him.

But I just wanted to write this post to hopefully reach out to some of you who may have gone through similar experiences. How did you guys get through it? What have you found that has helped your man?♥️

Any advice and/or kind words you have would be greatly appreciated 🙏

Thanks guys 💕
