Should she pay?

True story in my life right now. We have friends that were together for 5 years and then got married 4 years ago. Together a total of 9 years. She always said she didn’t want kids but she would “have one for him”. Well she stayed true to that and gave him a baby. After the baby was born she insisted he get a vasectomy because she does not want anymore children. He did want more children, always did from the beginning, but met her half way and agreed to one and a vasectomy. The baby is now 2.5 and they are getting divorced. She stayed true to her word and when she left him she also left their daughter. He is taking care of the child completely and living in a separate home with the baby. He now thinks she should have to pay for his vasectomy reversal and child support. What do you think? She says it’s his kid. His choice.
