Would you ever admit if you or your child were a bully?

Bo

It's the beginning to a new school year and that means two things parents have to worry about:

- bullying

- school shootings

That being said, a post previously made about children hitting their bullies back has inspired this poll.

So,

My first question for the poll is:

would you ever admit to your child or yourself being a bully?

And my second question is: how would you as a parent deal with the news that your child is a bully?

Scenario:

your childs talking to you at home about one class mate, they just can't stand.. it doesn't seem like a big deal to you in the moment.

Then a few weeks later you're picking them up from school one afternoon.. and you see them trip, that student they dislike, making them drop their books... When you inquired about the situation they tell you... "Oh, they made me look stupid in class.. and I thought I'd make them look stupid for tripping" you slightly scold the child for their bad behavior but ultimately you do nothing to correct their behavior.

A few months into the school year, you get a call from the principal about your child's behavior towards the student.. and how your child has physically put their hands on the other student...

Since most of the comments from the previous post said they'd be okay with their child hitting their bully back.. let's say the bullied child hit your child back and caused a serious injury to your child (the bully)

So my question is:

how would you as a parent handle this situation? Would you admit your child is a bully or defend their behavior saying that the other child deserved being hit and insist they be punished for your child's injuries?
