My 4 month old baby wakes up with cold hands and cold cheeks, should I worry?

My baby is at a point where she doesn’t like me to swaddle her arms. Keeping her hands warm is impossible. Now that we have colder nights I worry that she’s too cold. It doesn’t seem to bother her as she usually sleeps through the night. However I still feel like I should do something. Maybe turn on the heater at night? Mittens and beanie? Any thoughts?

As long as her torso isn’t chilly it’s ok. But you could use those pajamas with the flaps that fold over the hands. It’s honestly safer for the baby to be slightly chilly than it is for them to be too hot

It is ok for them to be a little cold. You don’t want them to overheat and turning up heat can increase your chance of SIDS. Feel babies back of neck, that will give you an idea of the core temperature. My baby is now 1 and she hates her blanket and rather be cooler. She is normally a little heat box though, she is always very warm if you snuggle with her.

I would turn the heat on. Does she wear a sleeper to bed? I'd put a layer on underneath as well. Mittens and such will probably just fall off
