Spotting

I never post questions like this, but I’m kind of freaking out? I usually have irregular periods, but I’ve been spotting for like 8 days straight? At first I thought it might just be my period, but it hasn’t always been red blood. It’s brown? I don’t have any stds, and I haven’t been running a fever. I made an appointment with my OB/GYN for later this month, but I’m afraid by then it will have stopped and she will think I’m crazy?

It’s also never been nearly the amount I usually lose, so I’m hesitant to call it my period. It’s only when I wipe. It has gotten on my clothes once. It’s just weird and idk what it is or what it could be? Everything I’m reading says “infection, STD, or PCOS.” Or cancer. I’m only 24. And I’m kind of scared.

Has anyone else experienced this? Or know what it might be?
