Help TTC 18 months

My partner and I have been trying to conceive for 18 months , I’m only 26, he is 30. I’ve had all blood tests done, most were within normal range i.e, fsh, lh, testosterone, thyroid, glucose. AMH was 23pmol/L (dr said that wasn’t bad for my age). Prolactin was raised around 700mIU/L, so I’ve had a CT brain to rule out hyperprolactinoma. My day 21 progesterone was only 10nmol/L, the dr said she wasn’t sure if I ovulated, my cycles are 27-35 days, period is normal, minimal cramps.

I’ve never missed a period and I always get positive ovulation urine tests each month.

I also had a pelvic ultrasound which was all normal. The GP said she thinks I have PCOS, although I don’t fit any of the Rotterdam criteria, I’m so confused. I’ve started on metformin 250mg, slowly building up to 1500mg over 6 weeks to limit side effects to help regulate cycles and to help ovulation. Is it worth seeing a fertility specialist rather than the GP, I don’t want to waste another year! Also I’m located in Australia).
