Just had a d&c done this morning.. how long am I supposed to wait to try and conceive again??

My ob said a week or so... the lady at the hospital said 6 weeks... I’m confused.. I go back to my dr in 2 weeks I’m gonna ask him again, but can someone explain what will happen if we try sooner??

Typically you want to wait 2-3 cycles before trying so your body has time to heal

I'm sorry for your loss. 
You can try whenever you want (unless you were quite far along it may be different, I was 9 weeks). My dr told me no sex for 1-2 weeks just for healing purposes, but beyond that no research supports the need to wait beyond healing emotionally.  The only issue is that until you have your first period, you don't know when you'll ovulate and if you get pregnant they won't know how far along you are and you won't know exactly when to take a pregnancy test. But as long as you take your prenatal and test every 2 weeks until your period comes, it's fine. They'll date you when you have an ultrasound.  I got my first period 7 weeks post procedure, so I probably ovulated about 5 weeks post procedure.

I’ve had 2 miscarriage my first was horrible and I had a d&c also but I was told to healthily wait 6months. I totally understand the really wanting a child but take some time for you first💕 the harder you try we find it difficult to happen. Don’t rush your body
