When to install car seats for twins

Question

When did you ladies install your car seats for your twins? Or when do you plan to? I feel like I want to do it a little earlier than I normally would if it were just one baby.. Especially since they could literally come at any time. I don't know, I'm a ftm and probably just over thinking it haha I'm only 18 weeks 3 days, so I still have a lot of time. I'm just curious ☺️ thank you!

Put ours in around 30 weeks just to make sure they'd fit with our older kid boosters. But remember if they're born fairly early they won't be coming home right away anyhow.

Check your hospital, they might have a free program where they install them for you. My hospital installed mine.

My fiancé installed them while I was still in the hospital with our girls. I had them at 36 weeks via emergency c section. We had no clue they were coming my dr kept saying he thought I would carry them to 40 weeks because I was doing so good even though I told everyone my entire pregnancy they'd probably come around 36 weeks lol no one believed me. I had a feeling it would be soon but went for a non stress test and he immediately sent me to the hospital for preeclampsia they had done labs the prior day. They spent 11 days in the nursery in warmers and are healthy four month old girlies today

Depending on which car seats you have, I would do a practice install and then have a friend/partner install after babies come.  If you are in an accident (even a fender bender) with the bases and/or car seats in the car you may need to replace them.  Not worth the risk in my opinion.

If k were you I would have bothe installed by 33 weeks or a lil sooner maybe 39 weeks. I will have mine in by 35 weeks and I'm just having one. You never know better to be ready I always say:)
