Not married should I still do a pregnancy announcement?

I’m 15 weeks pregnant and starting to show, I am not married to the baby’s father but we have been dating and in each other’s lives for about 3 years. I’m wondering if you guys think I should still do a pregnancy announcement on Facebook or keep it private. Most of the pregnancy announcements I see is from married couples and wanted to know other moms opinions before announcing it to the world

Yes, married or not has nothing to do with your pregnancy. I’m not married but I’ve been with my SO for 10 years and we are going on our 3rd baby! I announced as soon as 4/5 weeks. It’s completely up to you and how comfortable you are with announcing.

I’m not married and I wasn’t even living with my boyfriend when we got pregnant, we still announced. If somebody has an issue with it, it’s THEIR issue, not yours. Celebrate that little baby anyway you feel comfortable ☺️

Yes! Just because you aren't married doesn't mean you shouldn't be happy to announce or ashamed. I'm planning to announce mine on social media around week 16, and my bf and I are dating for 4 years, not married. Btw, congrats on your pregnancy, mama!

In todays world there are so many non married couples having babies and there is nothing wrong with that. Make your announcement and if anyone gives your grief you just flip em the bird.

We’re not married yet, and still announced on Facebook and I posted updates throughout the rest of my pregnancy after the announcement. Some people keep asking when we’re getting married, but I just tell them someday. I don’t think it should matter whether you have that piece of paper or not. Be excited and post whatever you want to post.

my fiancé and i aren’t married yet and we weren’t even engaged when we had our first baby. pregnant this time and we’re engaged and we announced. it doesn’t matter if you’re married or not. if anyone has an opinion about it they can keep it to themselves.
