Have you been to Hawaii or live there?

Me and my fiancé are considering having a wedding in Hawaii. I’ve researched the weather for year round just to weigh the pros and cons. We really want a late February wedding but it’s in the low 80s which is still super nice and the water is about 75 degrees. Our concern is the rain? So have y’all been to Hawaii in February? What was your experience? Even if you’ve been there during another month how was it? Thanks in advance!

I was born and raised on Oahu Hawaii and currently live here. I married my now husband in February on the 17th and that day was just really windy. We just never really know if we are are gonna have a rainy or sunny day.

I have been to almost all the islands. Oahu is your best bet for good weather. Anytime of year will be beautiful and the rain never seems to hang around there. The Big Island was the exact opposite. I cut my time short there to go back to Oahu and the sunshine.

This depends quite a bit on specifically where in Hawaii. I went to an April wedding on Kaua'i (Princeville area) & it POURED the entire week, & that's not atypical for that area. Other islands/areas are much drier (although light showers are common many places in the afternoons even in the summer).

I have been a couple times and once for a wedding. Weather has always been beautiful, sure there can be rain... and at times torrential but it passes pretty quickly!

I went there two years ago in February 🙂 The weather was so so. We had 80 degree days and barely 70 degree days with intermittent rain. I got SUPER sick from the "vog" so if you have sinus issues, maybe start taking medicine ahead of time. Otherwise, it was a gorgeous place!
